Dwarka Prasad Pande (Chowri Choara Case)
Born at Jindapur, Junglekuria, Gorakhpur, U.P. s/o Late Nepal Prasad Pandey. Was involved in the famous Chowri- Chowra case were police fired on unarmed people. They were infuriated and burnt the police station. 26 persons died. He was given a life term sentence. Deported to the Andamans in 1923. repatriated in 1930 and released in 1937. He was rearrested in1942. Total jail period about 20 years. He died in January 1982. gandhji withdrew his Non Cooperation movement after this popular upsurge.
Shri SachindraKar Nandi (Naldanga Action)
Born 01.07.1906, gaibandha, Rangpur, Bangladesh, S/o Late Surendra Kumar Nandi. Belonged to Anusheelan Samity. Arrested in action in 1933. Deported for 7 years prison term to Andamns. Took aprt in second hunger strike. Total jail period 7 years.
Shri Adhir Kumar Nag (Dacca Station road Action)
Born 1916 at Dibrugar, Assam, s/o Late Mohinimohan Nag. Joined Anusheelan Samity at age of 13. Arrested in 1932. Convicted to 7 years R.I. Deported to the Andamans. Joined second hunger strike. Repatriated in 1937.and released in 1939. Arrested again in 1940 under D.I.R. and served 6 months jail term. Total jail period more than7 years.
Shri Satyendra Narayan Majumdar (Interprovincial Conspiracy Case)
Born 10.10.1910 at Mathabanga, Kuchbihar state. S/o Late Umesh Chandra Majumadar. Was a Post Graduate student of Calcutta University when Arrested on 02.01.1933. Joined Anusheelan Samity in 1927. Was president of Bengal Students Association. Sentenced to 7 years prison and deported to Andamans. Took part in the second hunger strike. Attempted to escape from Alipore Jail in July 1934 while he was an undertrial prisoner but couldnot get access to outer wall. Took part in another hunger strike in July 1939. After release arrested under D.I.R. in 1941 and detained till September 1945. A prolific writer in Bengali and English. His total jail period about 13 years.
